My Wife's love for the ...

As you can guess by the title, this post is actually written by Ryan.

We had a revelation tonight - an awakening if you will...

Now, I know my wife pretty well. I mean, we've been married for three years now, and dated for a couple before that and all, so I think I know a lot about her - including her love for the mayonnaise. This isn't really a surprise. She loves the stuff. On a hamburger? Both pieces of bread. Hot dog? Both sides (mayonnaise at all on a hot dog is weird, but smothering it on there enough that the hot dog refuses to stay in the bun is the level to which the mayo is applied). Grilled cheese? YES (and I mean before it gets grilled ::shivers::). All this is old hat. I've come to terms with it.

What I hadn't realized was that mayonnaise is apparently the great life-giver -- like water! It soothes the sole, cures what ails you! At least that must be the case, because we have a supply the likes of which Publix would be jealous of...

How about a few pictures:

Okay, now, ignoring the shirt hanging from the door frame, this looks like a typical pantry. We have some ketchup in there, some bar-b-que sauce, chips, unused kitchen appliances... and mayonnaise. Wha-wait a sec... how much mayonnaise is that? Let me get a closer look...

Well, let's see... That's 2 Hellmann's (light!), 2 Kraft (light!) - no, 3 Kraft (that one on the right is mayo with olive oil!), and a Duke's (light!). That is quite a bit of mayo!! But wait, Ryan - if Kelley loves mayonnaise, wouldn't there be an open jar in the fridge? Hmm... perhaps. Let's take a look.

Well wouldn't ya know... that makes (getting out the calculator ... ... ... processing... 7) seven containers of Mayo in the K&R household! Whaa... wait a second. What is that on the shelf below?

Ah-ha! Trying to be sneaky - knock that tally up to 8!

I'll just end by quoting Kelley, "Maybe I do have a problem..."

Word.

Maybe tomorrow I'll show Ryan my ketchup stash. 'Cause you know, nothing brings out the flavor of a steak like ketchup. And yes, I also eat it on my pork chops.

LOVE. THIS. Haha!!! We're mayoholics in this house too. I've been known to buy that really big tub of it from Sam's to keep in the downstairs fridge to replenish the one in the main fridge as needed. Yep, both sides of hamburger buns, definitely on hot dogs, mixed w/ ketchup for a yummy seafood dip (like fried fish and shrimp). Love me some mayo! I knew Kelley and I had lots in common! :)
